November Birchbox

Birchbox Review – November 2016

Birchbox teamed up with Tatler this month to give us a peacock inspired box design.

Inside this month’s Birchbox we had five elements that could all be used to get you ready for the party session. As usual, my box came with a little booklet outlining all the products inside and a short How To guide.

November Birchbox

The first product I got in my subscription box was the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Primer. This hemp and peppermint oil primer held to soothe and hydrate lips in order to keep your lipstick lasting longer. I tried this out on a day where I was out at a food festival and it lasted the test. Despite me eating and tasting all sorts of treat, my lipstick manage to stay on, and if that’s not enough, my lips have been feeling a lot more hydrated since using this product. This lip tar is rich in Vitamin E and is 100% vegan and cruelty free! RRP for full size product: £15

Next in my box was the Midi Wet Brush Detangler in Blue. As I already have a detangling brush which I love, getting this product was a little disappointing. In my mind, it seems a bit silly to include a brush in a subscription box as everyone probably already owns at least one right? However, after trying it out, I realised it was something I would be happy to keep (mainly because anything free is good) and its size makes it perfect for any handbag. RRP from £11.99

The Wet Brush

Last month I received the Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream but this time I was gifted with Nuxe Crème Prodigieuse. In contrast to the trilogy cream, this one was a lot heavier and thicker so took a bit longer to apply but as my mum said “At least you know it’s going to work”. The smell of this product is definitely the best thing about this month, but then again I love the Nuxe brand so it’s no surprise this is my favourite for this month. RRP for full size product: £21

Nuxe

Little note: This month’s box smelt just as good as October‘s if not better

Now the next product changed my opinion about leave in conditioners. The Beauty Protector; protect and detangle spray. Previous leave in products I have used have always left my hair feeling greasy and made me want to wash it all over again. But this spray did not leave me feeling like that at all, in fact I feel like my hair feels nicer than when I use normal conditioner and I didn’t have to use my usual hair oil after using my straighteners which was a plus. RRP for full size product: £18.50

Beauty Protector

Finally, I received the BBrowBar brow pencil in Indian Chocolate. Strong brows are definitely an essential fashion staple to any outfit and this product does just that. It fills in your brows and adds definition without being too dark. For those of you who have very dark hair, it’s not difficult to add more pigment as you define. RRP for full size product: £13

This month’s Birchbox was filled with essentials for any beauty addict.
Next month’s beauty box review will be a different subscription so keep your eyes peeled.
